There really is nothing all that little about the band Little Texas.
Original members Duane Propes (bass/vocals), Porter Howell (lead vocals/guitar), Dwayne O'Brien (vocals/guitars) and Del Gray (drums) all sing big and bold, play loud and rocking, and have been known to land a few big hits on the charts as well -- such as "Some Guys Have All the Love" and "God Blessed Texas."
And Little Texas is a band best served up live, said Propes, calling from home in Nashville, Tenn.

'A leap of faith': Chart-topping Little Texas on 20th anniversary tour

After Grammy nominations, platinum record sales and two decades of fan demand and radio airplay, Little Texas bassist Duane Propes can look back on the band's hit history and sum it up neatly as "a leap of faith."
By Ben Bromley Now that honky tonk bars are nearly extinct, country acts are finding that casinos are their bread and butter. That's all right by Duane Propes of Little Texas, and not just because casinos let the band chow down at the buffet. For starters, casinos don't tend to reek of vomit and spilled beer. But more importantly, playing casinos is less of a financial gamble: "Their checks don't bounce," Propes said.
Country-rockers Little Texas play charity show Feb. 6 to benefit area elementary
Cody Choate (1994-2007) was a Watertown student.
“This all-ages concert is being held to raise funds for athletic facilities …for games and practice for this Wilson County elementary, which hosts kindergarten through 8th grade,” explained Propes, who added that a former student at the school, Cody Choate, worked hard to draw attention to the school’s need for such facilities.
