The 30th Anniversary in retrospect

To say it’s been a great year is simply an understatement.

2019 was our 30th Anniversary year and we wanted to make it a good one, so we went at it harder this year. 72 shows, 30 states, countless bus and air miles and a gazillion new friends were accounted for this year. Was it easy? No. Was it fun? ABSOLUTELY!

We are so thankful to all our friends who come see us and want to spend time with us. So many times this year we’ve met second and third generation fans and heard the stories of your first encounters with us. We’ve spent time with kids who came out with their parents to see us at the old Fan Fair at the Nashville Fairgrounds who brought their kids to see us at the new CMA Festival. We celebrated with a couple of relatively new fans that celebrated their 100th show with us.

We’ve eaten BBQ, home-cooked comfort food, elk, fried chicken, baked chicken, pork chops, Cajun food with mystery meats and a ton of sandwiches while chatting with local promoters and crew members, asking questions and learning about local history, local characters, easy ways back to the interstates and what makes for an easy day. The 90’s were a complete blur, but 2019 was filled with unforgettable memories.

There are so many people we need to thank for this year’s success. We should begin with our agents at APA Nashville who book the shows that bring us to you. They are the key to the door, and what a door they opened this year! All the promoters, fair boards, entertainment directors, theaters and such – you have made every day easy on us and hopefully we’ve reciprocated. Thanks to you, we’re doing a lot of repeat business and we absolutely love familiarity!

David Stanton, our production manager, sound man, fuzzy friend and general work horse, is a true force of nature. David, you are the best friend a band like us could ever have and we're truly thankful for everything you do (and put up with).

To our bus owner, Dr. J, and our drivers; Ronnie, Jeff, Dustin, Scooter and a couple others who filled in here and there, thank you for keeping us safe and getting us home to our families after long runs. Southwest Airlines, we thank you for being so cool to musicians.

And to our main girl, Tina Gray, we simply can’t thank you enough for everything you do. Without you we’d just be wandering around useless. You’re the best and very much loved.

It really doesn’t feel like we should be celebrating what is now our 31st year as a band. Maybe it’s because we were so young when we started. But we promise, as long as you want to see a Little Texas show, we’ll continue bringing the show to you. Y’all ROCK!!
